OK after some enquiries it would appear that TS12/SP1 is still a way off, this means a number of parts of Athena will not work and more the point for RBR we will be unable to 'hide' our security code using GSE. So the next Athena will be delayed while I use some nasty hacks to protect the code that unlocks Activities. What this will mean is that...

The next version of Athena is almost complete, I have had to prototype some of the code in php so that I could quickly test the functions needed. This release will be the second last pre-release Athena, all things being equal. Access code will be complete, v0.7 will have the asset scanner added and will require TS12/SP1 as there are functions in the service...

Athena v0.4

The latest Athena release is available, you will need to download and install Athena, the Core and the sample Activities.

This is a major update and contans (hopefully) all of the core complete. You will notice that in the Windoze client you can input (manually) or download (automatically) your unlock code from RBR. When you save it Athena will let TS12 know your code. Inside TS12 you will see your unlock details in the Activities Menu and the actual Activity list will show whether you are authorised to load the Activity.

One thing, if you try and load a RBR Activity from other than the Activities menu it will refuse your request quite curtly! The Activities menu is the place where you will interact with TLR eventually making it consider other ways in was simply a major drag and so I avoided it

I still have loads to go before starting on TLR stuff but I am hopeful that the guys will be able to start releasing real driving Activities soonish. Most are planning on making the new stuff Crew only so don't say I didn't warn you.

Now I am off to have some lunch and then back outside for farm stuff.

Like
You will see the Google 'Like' button most everywhere if you find something useful click the +1 button this helps RBR on search rankings.
Hate 'em or depise 'em ads generate income for RBR, if you have any interest in an Ad click it, AdSense income is pretty low these days but we generally manage $150 a year of free money.

PayPal asking to review your payment

It seems that PayPal have a new game, they ask a purchaser if it is OK to investigate a recent purchase made on your account. What hey then do I ask the seeler (ie RBR in this case) to prove that the transaction is valid. Even if proof is provided they charge your payment back. All without telling you.

Now the long-long standing policy has been if we are charged back for a payment by someone they are totally, absolutely banned forever and a day. It is of little difference why it occured what it means to us is two things.

We can't trust your payments

We get a 'hit' against us for fraudulent transactions

So for your own well being, do not permit PayPal (or anyone else) to investigate something hat you are fully aware is valid, you may lose access to RBR.
