Murchison 2 is a merging of the original Narrow Gauge Murchison logging layout with an extensive Standard Gauge rail network.

By incorporating landscape based on actual electronic map data with the specially developed Nature Series sets (animated waterfalls, river splines, textures, cliff splines, rail ledge splines, rock splines), Murchison 2 takes Trainz to a new level of realism. The result is a photorealistic layout, set in the steam/diesel transition era, that users can submerge themselves in for a complete interactive rail experience.

Whether a steam-era NG enthusiast, or solely interested in SG steam or diesel operation, the 440 board Murchison 2 layout contains a huge variety of interactive and inter-related industries that will keep the train enthusiast immersed for many hours of operational pleasure.

[T4 Assets] Janus V8h

File Submitted: 26 Jul 2006
File Updated: 20 Feb 2010

Janus is a new technology at the Razorback, designed to make your life easier!

As you know, loading assets for Trainz can be a pain; for scenarios it can be a nightmare! Well Janus is a new utility that has been planned for a long-long-long-long time .. the start was when the Living Railway started and the dispatcher was born. We started by listing all the assets required.

Although a great improvement over not being able to see the list, the obvious problem is that you are given a list regardless of whether you have the stuff or not, some people obviously start trying to grab things multiple times which can be quite frustrating.

So here comes Janus! It is a utility you run on your machine; it scans the Trainz dispatcher files for scenarios that are Janus compatible (ie ours); it then grabs the asset requirement list, sees what's there and what is missing, and will give you a page with all the missing assets. When a Janus compatible scenario is installed it will run Janus to ensure you have all the required assets to load and play thus removing those annoying 'you have assets missing' messages. Optionally, using the shortcut on the desktop you can have Janus list any missing assets for all of your Janus compatible scenarios in one run.

For full instructions on how to install and use Janus click here.

Dec 2006 V8 Changes

Janus will now scan the jetlog to see if any Argus control lines are present and report them

bug fix where if Janus was run from the command line nothing useful would happen

Version 8e should fix strange directory behaviour

Dec 2006 V8f Changes

Stopped the double show on Scenario installation

Jan 2008 V8g Changes

Removed DLS links only RBR ones work now

March 2008 V8h Changes

VS2005 will not compile Janusproperly except in debug mode, so here is it 5x larger

TRS2006 users should not download this file. Janus does not work with TRS2006. TRS2006 users should use Argus instead.
