There's a problem with the link over at Auran   :o  It gets you to the page but then tells you that you don't have access (even for me  ??)

I've sucessfully installed the route into '06 and all seems fine.

I would like to also install into '04 but the installer just doesn't seem to be able to find it. It's on another drive to my 'C' drive. I've used TrainzHelper supplied with '04 to set the path and the DLS is happily sending everything to '04 but the installer still doesn't seem to want to know.

What I would do is backup your download folder and reinstall T4... that should help it, it sounds like your computer is not seeing where it is that you put 04...

Thanks for that Wayne but as that means the patches as well, I'll wait until I have a spare hour or so. Seems strange that the DLS can find it OK. Also all other downloads of various scenarios and assets are still working fine to T4, (I've just this minute downloaded one); it just seems to be this particular installer that's giving me problems.

As I said, the T6 install went fine so perhaps I should be satisfied with that.

Terry,

Is it just the map that won't install to T4, or is it the Assets Pack and the 2 Rolling Stock Packs as well?

I suppose you've checked the Dispatcher folder to see if it's actually present, and had a look with TO. (Delete dispatcher chump)

Are you getting any error messages, or does it do it's thing and then nothing?

If other RBR assets are installing to T4 ok, then it's got to be something simple.

Cheers
Brian

Well Brian, having had some time on my hands, I reinstalled and it fixed the problem as was suggested. What I didn't understand though and still don't is why the DLS was finding the path (when set by trainz helper) and I could still install from the other RBR resouces. To your question though, it was all Razorback:Dual packages which asked the question as to which version I wished to install and when I selected T4 said it wasn't installed.

All OK now though and thanks for your attention.

Terry,

I suspect that there are several mechanisms by which an installation program can discover the whereabouts of the TRS2004 (or T6) program folder. Presumably DLS uses one and the RBR Dual installer uses another.

Anyway, the great news is you fixed it. Excellent! Drive on, man!!!

Not wishing to sound too greedy, (well, perhaps I am. ;) ). Is it known when there may be any sessions/scenarios for RBR Dual?

A couple of questions please.

I've never seen the blue texture used before as it is here, quite extensively. What particular situation/area/topography does it signify?

Where is one supposed to take all the cattle being produced? I can't find any meat packing/processing industry, in fact the only place that I've discovered (so far) that accepts cattle is Terry's Livestock, presumably for its market there. Perhaps there's a packing plant down the road? I suppose I could add one somewhere but that would change the layout and stop the upcoming scenarios being compatible.

Hi Terry,

The blue texture you are referring to is where a past bushfire has roared through as the surrounding vegetation is also burnt. There is no meat packing/processing industry included on the map. Things were getting added all the time and it just had to stop somewhere, that's probably where it did stop.    You just pick-up the cattle and take them to the cattle yards for sale, and yes if you decide to add anything to the map it will change the layout and stop upcoming scenarios being compatible.

Cheers,
Martin.

Thanks for the info Martin. I never thought of bush fires; perhaps if the tint had been a little more 'sooty' I would have got the hint. ;)

I appreciate what you say about continually adding items. It was because I had seen on other layouts with cattle for collection, the addition of a holding field where the cattle are kept next to an abattoir building with either a meat packing plant nearby or trucks waiting to convey the carcasses away to a processing plant: one extra building with the appropriate signage in the area of Terry's livestock would have done the trick. Not to worry though, it's an excellent layout with plenty of things to do.  :D
