There's something very strange happening.

Are you using Internet Explorer?

When you go to the download page for that file and click the "Download File" button it should ask what you want to do: Run, Save or Cancel. You should click Save, then specify the folder on your hard disk where you want to download the file to. Don't change the filename from its default of RBRDualMap.exe. Don't change the "Save as type" from its default of Application.

It's very nearly the same if you're using a different web browser program such as Firefox.

Provided the file's size is correct, you should be able to rename it in Windows Explorer to RBRDualMap.exe and it should work. That would be well worth trying.

I just checked the link it does not send a file with IPB as an extension, have you got some form of download accelerator/manager running? They do some weird stuff, FWIW our Downloader simply tell the browser a file is coming and away it goes, if you have something running that is trying to be clever it may be not 'listening'.

Thanks everyone for continued efforts to assist.   As a matter of interest I have Firefox.   Anyway I renamed file and it loaded :D :D .

Am off out now - better half dragging me out to Wolverhampton - joy...

Will let you all know later on.

Thanks again,
Sellick

That's right, BTW I have just RBR Dual on my new whiz-bang computer, the train nearly flew off the screen what a marvellous layout. Thank you again Gumbi. :crazy_pilot:

Installed ok but was not listed in CMP as open for edit contrary to advice for TRS 2006 users.   Was installed direct.
Opened but found scenery (baseboard squares showing) and rail lines missing.  Anyone else had this?

I don't know enough about TRS2006 to answer this. Can anyone else comment please?

Have you downloaded and installed the RBR:Dual Essential Assets file? That contains numerous assets required by the layout.

What are your new computer specs?

G'day Puffingbilly,
Sorry I have not replied sooner but I have been busy transferring non Trainz stuff from my old computer, takes a bit of time.
Specs on my new machine
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU
Q6600@2.40 Ghz
O/S XP Pro SP2 v2002
NVIDIA GEForce 8500 GT 512MB Memory
Direct X 9
2 GIG DDR2 Ram
320 GIG SATA Hard Disc.

I have been running a Train through Hunter with all sliders full to the right, not a stutter anywhere, bit misty though, frame rates were 50.9 FPS, shown on the jetlog.
On RBR DUAL it was only 20 FPS, but ran smoothly with no stutters.

My next target is to replace this monitor with a wide screen 22" Flat Screen, a Chrissie Prezzie I hope.

Cheers   :shok:

Ted,

Have you tried Configure Trainz > Tuning Settings > Effects > Good Weather Fog and Bad Weather Fog?

BTW, some mist in the distance is good, it hide holes in the scenery caused by the program not displaying some areas and objects.

Or is something else wrong?

Pretty similar to the one I'm looking at:
Corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5DF 2GB (2x XMS2 1GB) PC-8500 (1066MHz) DDR2 RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 (3.0Ghz/Conroe/4MB/1333FSB/EMT64/XD/Dual Core)
XFX PV-T88P-YDD4 Geforce 8800GT XXX Edition, 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express, Dual DVI, Fansink, 670/1950mhz
Western Digital WD740ADFD Raptor, 74GB, SATA 150, 16mb Cache 10,000RPM X 2
Asus BLITZ-FORMULA  Motherboard

Is your Grafix card 8500GT or 8800GT?

Cheers

Ron

Thanks for reply.   Sorry for delay, been having problems with KIS Updater.

I re-downloaded assets file and installed.   Seems ok now

Tried d/l TS6 jz11.   Argus proved brilliant listing missing assets.   Am in process of installing.

Thanks again,
Sellick
