I have had 2004 for quite some time and enjoyed it greatly, expecially with the activities from Razorback.  I purchased Trainz 2006 and 2009 but never really used them and have since removed them.  I am now considering 2012 but not sure I understand what the relationship with Razorback will be and what is available curently to enhance 2012 from Razorback and what will evolve down the road.  Sorry if I am not fully understanding Razorback and 2012 and would greatly appreciate and assistance.

Hi Straygoose
Here is an update as I see it.
There will not be any more scenarios released for T4 or T6.
Jenolan is at present preparing a compendium containing all the T4 andT6 scenarios plus anything else that needed for their running.
This will be released shortly via either the shop for a nominal fee or by a large download.
Compendiums are available at present which cover everything up to, I think Dec 2009.
They can be obtained at the moment by the same method and then the balance is still available on the download site.
2012 or T12, whichever you prefer.
Jenolan is flat out at present writing code for Scenarios, which will now be called Activities in T12.
Just how long this will take is , at this time is anybodies guess, it is an enormous task.
However, we hope it will not be too much longer.
So far there have been a couple of test Activities released to the beta testers for them to experiment with.
That is about where things are at th moment.

Dear Sirs--

I bought T12 thru Steam,,assuming they would supply the latest patches, which I could apply in order to be involved with Razorback RR.....however, much to my chagrin,,,they haven't done this,,,I hate to have to spend another 50 dollars to use T12 in Razorback,,,is there any solution to this quandry..? The Steam version remains 47103,,I hope I havent asked this question in the wrong area,,,thanks for your help?? And what version or patch number does Razorback use BTW??

Hi chuckles41,

RBR uses Auran's latest version of T12 (Build no 49922), unfortunately there is nothing RBR can do to assist memebers who purchase the Steam version of Trainz. From what I have read on Auran's Forum steam eventually do release patches but it can be some considerable time after Auran release theirs.

Cheers

Ron

Ron

Thanks much for your response,,,I assumed such was the case--I can't understand why Steam would be so slow in releasing patches,,although it's an expense to them to do so I suppose,,,I am therefore hesitant to use Steam again, however I have had no problems  with other of their software,,,had I read the EULA more carefully I would have realized,,,buyer beware-----!!!

I would load in T2006, but I now have windows 7, The two don't get along,,,running in compatibility doesn't seem to help...

Windows 7 and TRS2006 get along in my computer, but try to add SP1 and you're in trouble. So I can't use any of the TRS2005 Razorback Activities. Fortunately I have them in TRS2004.
Windows7 doesn't seem to like TRS2009 either.

I have loaded and reloaded T6 several times over the years using W7 without any problems and I am pretty sure that you can do the same.
This is how I do it from memory.
First copy the sp1 disk to a hard drive.
Then Iinsert the T6 ist disk and open it.
Right click on a each "application" in turn.
Left click on "Compaterbility" and tick "Run as an administrator".
Click on "OK".
Then right click on "Application" again and left click on  "Run as  administrater"
Insert the second disk when asked.
When loading is complete.
DO NOT RUN T6 BEFORE INSTALLING SP1.

Go to the T6 folder and right click on it  and unselect  "read only".
Now go to where you previously copied SP1 into a hard drive.
Open it and  do the same as you did with the 1st disk
Right click on a each "application" in turn.(.I think there is only one)
Left click on "Compaterbility" and tick "Run as an administrator".
Click on "OK".
Then right click on "Application" again and left click on  "Run as  administrater"
SP1 should load and  T6 should run without any trouble.
When you come to loading the compendium it might be an idea to do it the same way.
Good Luck.
