Well after a bit of fiddling I have managed to install the Activity system onto the iMac and run Test#1. Athena compiler, asset installer et al is a no go as I surmised earlier after talking to AmigaCooke but the assets themselves can be manually installed from CDP format and DLS content (like the sound library) will auto-download.

I am running it in a 1024x768 window at the moment and the performance is quite acceptable considering it is the bottom of the range iMac the whole experience seems a little friendlier than the Windows version. Of course, no Athena is a huge issue for my plans for TLR processing. I need to change the asset system for non Activity RBR stuff to create CDP's that will be my next job. What I am considering is rather than dump the RBR files is to have the option of downloading either the RBR (for Windows) and the CDP (for either) obviously if you use the CDP file then Athena will not be able to let you know that you have missing assets or other errors and would need to manually load up CMP and browse to the Activity and take whatever actions is required. Obviously installing a CDP and just trying to run an Activity that has asset problems will simply drop you into driver with nothing there.

Overall I like the TS12 Mac it is quite nice. I definitely have been seduced by the dark side huh!

All asset (not Athena) should now be Mac installable. You will need to know how to install CDP's and resolve missing assets manually using the Mac Trainz CMP.
