Have been playing this series of Scenarios, after a long break, and find I'm having a hard time of getting things to come together for a successful run on a lot of the daily routines. I must be slowing down a bit, keep getting caught running red lights, coupling at excess speed, starting off without switching on headlights, etc. It's all back to the drawing board and making a few notes on the play slip so that I will not fall into the same trap ! By the way they are a great set of Scenarios and after a few "**** -ups, I'll probably will get it right once again. For anyone who hasn't yet tried them, get to it. You don't know what you are missing out on. Cheers Mal.

Success at last ! I finally got the Endeavour Set to Norris Green without mishap. (AND09-Passenger) All previous attempts, 3 in total, have come to grief. Failing at the first of the tunnels  approaching Glenavy Forest. It is nice to be able to complete the Scenarios as I replay them. One doesn't realise the amount of detail, planning, preparation, frustration and actual personal committment you Chaps put in to make it all happen. From an "Old Fart" who loves playing Trains, my sincere thanks for all you have done over the years. Looking forward to the new chapter of Scenarios about to appear. Happy Driving ! Cheers Mal.

Bugger !! DVS system failed to respond after entering second Glenavy Tunnel. Had to abort !! Maybe I need to reload the Compendium to remedy the situation ??? Whats your thoughts ? Maybe I need to update my Drivers. or, if all else fails, forget about it and play the next one in sequence !! Cheers Mal.

Mal,

The only thing I know about DVS and tunnels is, that the audio does not work undergound.  You only get the visual warning on the dart board.

Cheers
Brian

I know that you believe that you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realise, that what you heard is not what I meant.

Hi Mal,
As Brian has indicated its nothing to do with your drivers or installation, its a Trainz bug and nothing you can do about it :pc:  It will be interesting to see if it has been fixed in T12 when Larry gets it up and running :fish:

Cheers

Ron

Mal, Brian & Ron.
As far as I can remember Larry is not providing an audible warning for the DVS in T12. It's up to you to keep an eye on the HUD. Could be wrong though!
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
By the way I didn't mean that Larry could fix it, I was suggesting that IF NV3 have fixed the code since T2006 then hopefully when Larry gets the Living Railway up and running we 'might' be able to hear the DVS in tunnels for a change :xpoke:

Cheers

Ron

I wish to bestow a Extra High Merit Award to Andrew for his storyline in AND11- Strike. I had only played it once when it first became available (25/10/10) Obviously "stuffed-up", replayed on the 26/10/10 with success, but haven't been back until the 9/2/12 for a replay. I'd forgotten what went on and made a bit of a mess of it. Replayed again on 10/2/12, and with the help of my favourite Observer, "Toohey" we made the whole thing "come together". What a great Scenario.  I wish I had your skills around the Keyboard, I too "could stick-it-'em" so as to speak ! One has to keep alert, watch the HUD, drink in moderation when in control of a Loco, expect the unexpected, and make notes so you know what to do next time you revisit. What a beauty ! Congrats ! Mal.
